Emre Aysu

Emre Aysu was born in 1943 in İzmir. In 1966, he graduated as an architect from İstanbul Technical School (see. Yıldız Technical University) and received his master's degree from the same institution in 1967. In 1970, Aysu became the founding partner of Atelye 70. In 1976, Aysu completed his PhD studies at Yıldız Technical University, School of Architecture’s Department of Urbanism. Later, he received his “Associate Professor” title from İstanbul Technical University in 1985 and his “Professor” title from Yıldız Technical University in 1991. So far he has served in administrative roles in the latter institute as dean and vice president. In 1986, with three other fellow architects, he joined Partem AŞ.. In 1998, he founded BODART Aysu & Aysu Architects in partnership with his sons O. Bürgehan Aysu and R. Dirsehan Aysu. Between 2010 and 2017, Aysu served as the dean of Maltepe University’s School of Architecture.And sSince 2017, he has been working as the head of the Architecture Department at the Okan University, plus, continuing planning and design works in his own office.
