Mehmet Çakırkaya


Tekeli Sisa Architectural Partnership

Born in 1968, Çakırkaya completed his elementary and middle education at the İstanbul Private American Robert College. In 1991, he received his bachelor's degree in architecture from İTÜ School of Architecture. During his undergraduate years, he was awarded with the Emin Onat Architecture Award and YEM Successful Architecture Student Award. In 1993, he completed his graduate studies in his former department with a thesis on the architecture and the buildings of tourism. Between 1993 and ‘95, he worked as a researcher in the Building Construction Methods and Technologies department. In 1995, Çakırkaya started working for Doğan Tekeli-Sami Sisa Architecture LLC as a project manager. Upon restructuring of the firm as Tekeli - Sisa Architectural Partnership, he became one of the partners.
