Murat Şahin


PDG Architects

Born in 1981, in Keşan, Şahin started his high school education at the Akşehir Selçuklu High School and graduated from Kuyucak High School in Aydın. He started his undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University, School of Architecture, majoring in Architectural Design and Theory. He then received his bachelor's degree in 2010. Until 2015, he worked for Proje Limited, EAA, Kreatif Architecture and then for CeSa Architects, which he founded himself. Şahin received the Jury Special Award in the Building Category of the Turgut Cansever National Architecture Award for his design of Beylikdüzü Municipality Cumhuriyet Street Urban Design Project 1st Part 1st Stage Kiosk Structure. He was also awarded with the Project Award of the National Steel Structure Awards for his design of the Antalya Local Produce Market project which was also selected as the finalist in the World Architecture Festival in 2018. Moreover, his design for Kiptaş Silivri Social Housing Project was awarded with the Bronze Award in Low-cost Social Housing Category of the 14th International Design Awards. Besides the above-mentioned awards, Şahin also received many others in the competitions he participated in. Besides his professional practice, Şahin also has worked as an instructor in workshops, attended final juries as a critic and attended seminars as panelist. Today, he pursues his professional practice within PDG Architects (Project Design Group) which he founded together with Cengiz Gültek in 2015.
